{"id":2426,"date":"2026-07-08T07:55:44","date_gmt":"2026-07-08T07:55:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/transform4europe.units.it\/?p=2426"},"modified":"2026-07-20T11:36:25","modified_gmt":"2026-07-20T11:36:25","slug":"join-mnemosyne-the-3rd-t4eu-heritage-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/transform4europe.units.it\/index.php\/2026\/07\/08\/join-mnemosyne-the-3rd-t4eu-heritage-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Join Mnemosyne, the 3rd T4EU Heritage Week"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Would you like to explore <strong>European heritage, memory, and artistic practices<\/strong>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Would you like to discuss these topics with students, scholars, artists, and cultural professionals from across the Transform4Europe Alliance?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Join <strong>Mnemosyne \u2013 the 3rd T4EU Heritage Week<\/strong>, hosted by the <strong>University of Trieste<\/strong> from <strong>21 to 23 October 2026<\/strong> as part of <strong>WP7 \u2013 Tasks 7.2 and 7.5<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inspired by Aby Warburg&#8217;s reflections on the relationship between art and memory, this year&#8217;s Heritage Week explores how Europe&#8217;s shared heritage is constructed, interpreted, and reimagined through <strong>critical memory studies<\/strong> and <strong>artistic methodologies<\/strong>. Bringing together scholars, artists, students, cultural institutions, and GLAM+ professionals, the programme promotes an interdisciplinary dialogue on participatory artistic practices and sustainable heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event is organised around two complementary initiatives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Reframing Memories in Times of Crises &#8211; Regional Heritage Workshop<\/strong> (21\u201322 October), dedicated to examining how contemporary crises reshape remembrance practices and public narratives across Europe through historical and anthropological perspectives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Art and Science as Participatory Practices &#8211; Regional Artistic Research Roundtable<\/strong> (23 October), exploring how artistic methodologies can strengthen interdisciplinary research, education, and public engagement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-fe48e5de wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-white-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/transform4europe.units.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Info-Mnemosyne.pdf\" style=\"background-color:#254ba1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tentative Programme<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout the three-day programme, participants will attend keynote lectures and thematic panels, engage in discussions with museums and cultural institutions, take part in a participatory World Caf\u00e9, and exchange ideas with scholars, artists, researchers, and heritage professionals from across the T4EU Alliance. Topics will include contested memories, wars and forced migrations, border regions, authoritarian pasts, public memory, participatory artistic practices, and innovative approaches to heritage research and education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>University of Trieste<\/strong> will host participants from the Transform4Europe Alliance. Each partner university may nominate <strong>up to five Master&#8217;s students and PhD candidates<\/strong> (in total), giving priority to candidates whose academic background, research interests, or study programmes are related to the <strong>Humanities, Social Sciences, Visual Arts, and Architecture<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are a Master\u2019s or PhD student interested in attending all sessions over the 3 days of the event, fill out the <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.cloud.microsoft\/Pages\/ResponsePage.aspx?id=NTZLpYwSD0a5Z23tjfgudfr8SFDuTb9FnKgOaryPYldUN09BRkRWMzRCWkJIM0dISUZGR0VES1lHOC4u\">form<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>DEADLINE IS 1 SEPTEMBER 2026<\/strong>.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Professors will evaluate applications based on the relevance of your field of study to the topics covered, as well as your personal motivation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selected participants will be contacted in September, and a&nbsp;certificate of attendance will be issued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stay tuned for updates on our website and social media channels!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Would you like to explore European heritage, memory, and artistic practices?
