The University of Silesia in Katowice (Poland) will host the 2-day heritage photography workshop “Traces of Memory in the City” from October 19 to 20, 2026.
Led by a professional photographer, this intensive face-to-face workshop focuses on urban spaces and visual storytelling.
- Hands-on practice: participants will learn photographic composition, explore on-site urban photography, and develop an exhibition or zine project.
- Dissemination: selected photographs will be presented during the international conference “Miasto-pamięć-sztuka. Obrazy tożsamości w przestrzeni miejskiej” (City-Memory-Art. Images of identity in urban space) on October 27, 2026.
- No equipment required: no previous photography experience is needed. A smartphone camera is perfectly sufficient.
