Students selected for the Sustainable Heritage Workshop

The selection process for the T4EU Sustainable Heritage Workshop event, hosted by Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania), has been successfully completed.

This intensive workshop will take place at Vytautas Magnus University (Kaunas) and the Kaunas Ninth Fort Museum from 28 September to 2 October 2026.

Apply for the T4EU Festival of Culture and Languages and Sustainable Student Heritage Competition

Applications are now open for the T4EU Festival of Culture and Languages and Sustainable Student Heritage Competition – “INSPIRING ISTRIA” which will take place in Koper from 8 to 11 September 2026, hosted by University of Primorska (Koper, Slovenia).
Participants will engage in hands-on learning by selecting one of three specialized workshops:

  • Visual Arts workshop: translate words and festival themes into visual art. Work in a fully equipped studio to master screen printing, linocut, and etching, using T-shirts as your final canvas.
  • Audiovisual workshop: learn the fundamentals of documentary filmmaking and video editing. Capture the hidden spaces, cuisine, and multicultural life of Koper to create a collaborative ethnographic film.
  • Poetry Workshop: explore intercultural dialogue through the art of traditional haiku. Compose poems in English inspired by Koper and experiment with literary translation into your native language.
    Requirements:
    No prior experience needed for the Visual Arts and Audiovisual tracks—only curiosity and creativity.
    Good command of English is required (especially for the writing and translation components in the Poetry track).

Call for Applications: Photography Workshop in Katowice

The University of Silesia in Katowice (Poland) will host the 2-day heritage photography workshop “Traces of Memory in the City” from October 19 to 20, 2026.

Led by a professional photographer, this intensive face-to-face workshop focuses on urban spaces and visual storytelling.

  • Hands-on practice: participants will learn photographic composition, explore on-site urban photography, and develop an exhibition or zine project.
  • Dissemination: selected photographs will be presented during the international conference “Miasto-pamięć-sztuka. Obrazy tożsamości w przestrzeni miejskiej” (City-Memory-Art. Images of identity in urban space) on October 27, 2026.
  • No equipment required: no previous photography experience is needed. A smartphone camera is perfectly sufficient.

Apply for the 3rd T4EU Festival of European Culture and Languages

A new T4EU mobility opportunity is available for UniTS students.

Jean Monnet University is organizing the third T4EU Festival of European Culture and Languages: “Crossing, Arriving, Settling: Vulnerability in the Context of Migration, Then and Now” which will take place in Saint-Étienne (France) from 23 to 27 November 2026.

The University of Trieste will select 3 master’s students to participate in the Festival. Preference will be given to students enrolled in study programs related to the Festival.

The Festival will bring together lecturers from various academic fields, including political science, anthropology, history, sociolinguistics, and psychiatry. Students will examine migration and vulnerability from multiple perspectives.

Master’s students will also take part in the T4EU Student Competition. They will work in international teams to develop educational materials based on archival sources related to migration.

The University of Trieste will select 15 students to take part in one of the most significant events of our University Alliance.

Universidade Catolica Portuguesa invites BA, MA and PhD students to participate in the seventh edition of the T4EU Week, under the topic: “Community, Communities: Engage to Transform”. The event includes five days in person, from 25th to 29th May 2026, and a virtual meeting in early May (date to be confirmed).

This week brings together students from across the Transform4Europe Alliance for a dynamic academic programme, complemented by cultural, social and networking activities in the vibrant city of Lisbon.


Students can participate in one course throughout the week and be awarded 3 ECTSs.

Joint Call for for Visiting Professorships

Jointly, the University of Trieste and the University of Primorska launch the Second Joint Call for Visiting Professorship, open to professors and researchers from institutions outside the T4EU Alliance.

The initiative promotes international academic mobility while strengthening scientific collaboration in key areas of digital, environmental, and social transformation.

The programme is structured around 20 days of activities (10 days at each university), featuring lectures, seminars, meetings with doctoral candidates, and research engagement across the following disciplinary fields: economics and management, interpreting and translation, history and philosophy, education sciences, mathematics, artificial intelligence and data science, biology and neurosciences, and psychology.

Apply for T4EU Common European Heritage Week

Applications are now open for the T4EU Common European Heritage Week 2026, which will take place in Porto from 16 to 20 March 2026, hosted by Universidade Católica Portuguesa. The week will include lectures, workshops, and collaborative activities in a stimulating international academic environment.

ELIGIBILITY

Three students enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programmes will be selected. Priority will be given to applicants whose degree programmes are closely related to the disciplines covered during the event, particularly Humanities and Linguistic Studies.

Students who successfully complete the programme will be awarded 3 ECTS credits.
