Apply for the T4EU Festival of Culture and Languages and Sustainable Student Heritage Competition

Applications are now open for the T4EU Festival of Culture and Languages and Sustainable Student Heritage Competition – “INSPIRING ISTRIA” which will take place in Koper from 8 to 11 September 2026, hosted by University of Primorska (Koper, Slovenia).
Participants will engage in hands-on learning by selecting one of three specialized workshops:

  • Visual Arts workshop: translate words and festival themes into visual art. Work in a fully equipped studio to master screen printing, linocut, and etching, using T-shirts as your final canvas.
  • Audiovisual workshop: learn the fundamentals of documentary filmmaking and video editing. Capture the hidden spaces, cuisine, and multicultural life of Koper to create a collaborative ethnographic film.
  • Poetry Workshop: explore intercultural dialogue through the art of traditional haiku. Compose poems in English inspired by Koper and experiment with literary translation into your native language.
    Requirements:
    No prior experience needed for the Visual Arts and Audiovisual tracks—only curiosity and creativity.
    Good command of English is required (especially for the writing and translation components in the Poetry track).

Apply for the 3rd T4EU Festival of European Culture and Languages

A new T4EU mobility opportunity is available for UniTS students.

Jean Monnet University is organizing the Third T4EU Festival of European Culture and Languages: “Crossing, Arriving, Settling: Vulnerability in the Context of Migration, Then and Now” which will take place in Saint-Étienne (France) from 23-27 November 2026.

The University of Trieste will select 3 master’s students to participate in the Festival. Preference will be given to students enrolled in study programs related to the Festival.

The Festival will bring together lecturers from various academic fields, including political science, anthropology, history, sociolinguistics, and psychiatry. Students will examine migration and vulnerability from multiple perspectives.

Master’s students will also take part in the T4EU Student Competition. They will work in international teams to develop educational materials based on archival sources related to migration.

The event will explore the opportunities and potential of AI and GeoAI for analysing the local impacts of climate change across European regions. Participants will gain insight into the latest geospatial analytics and predictive modelling tools used to address natural hazards and environmental risks.

Applications Open: T4EU Sustainable Heritage Workshop in Lithuania!

The University of Trieste will select 3 students to participate in the T4EU Sustainable Heritage Workshop, Cultural Responses to War: Shaping Heritage, Building Resilience, hosted by Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania).

This intensive workshop will take place at Vytautas Magnus University (Kaunas) and the Kaunas Ninth Fort Museum from 28 September to 2 October 2026.

PROGRAMME

The programme bridges academic theory and institutional practice. Working alongside museum professionals and mentors, students will address urgent challenges arising from the war in Ukraine, focusing on the following key areas:

  • Practical Mentorship: Solving museum-defined problems in collaborative groups.
  • Heritage at Risk: Crisis management and anti-looting strategies.
  • Weaponised History: Deconstructing propaganda and colonial legacies.
  • Cultural Resistance: Art and museums as pillars of social resilience.

Join this intensive week dedicated to protecting European heritage in an era of global crisis.
The three participants will be selected as follows:
– one BA student;
– one MA student;
– one PhD student / early-career researcher.

Join the “Data-driven Solutions for a more Sustainable Future” event in Sofia

Are you passionate about sustainability and the future of our cities?
Do you want to learn how Artificial Intelligence can tackle climate change?

We are looking for motivated students to join the upcoming event hosted by Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski as part of the Transform4Europe (T4EU) Alliance!

The event will present the opportunities and capabilities of AI and GeoAI in studying the local effects of climate change across European regions. Participants will be introduced to the latest geospatial analytics and predictive modelling to directly address natural hazards and environmental risks.

Throughout the event, you will learn how to work with scalable, workflow-oriented methodologies for analysing complex data. The focus will be on geoinformation technologies, including Generative AI and no-code/low-code solutions for handling large datasets.

Finally, participants will work in groups to solve a specific issue as part of the T4EU Stakeholder Challenge, an open innovation initiative that will connect young talents with companies and public institutions.

The University of Trieste will select 3 students to take part in the T4EU event Data-driven Solutions for a more Sustainable Future, which will include:
– a virtual session on 22 October 2026;
– a physical mobility on 26–30 October 2026.

The three participants assigned to each event will be distributed as follows:
– one person from the BA;
– one person from the MA;
– one person from the PhD/Young researcher.

The target group is focused on students with no or little programming skills.

Students can ask for recognition of 3 ECTS credits.

Apply now: T4EU Green Transformer Summer School in Izola

Applications are now open for the “T4EU Green Transformer Summer School” and Student Challenge “Enabling Innovative Wool Transformation Through Sustainable and Adaptive Resource Processing“, which will take place in Izola (Slovenia) from the 29th of June to the 3rd of July, hosted by the University of Primorska.

Initiatives are designed to equip students with the tools to radically rethink the wool production industry. Hosted with the support of the world-class InnoRenew CoE research infrastructure, this program merges material science, sustainability, and rural innovation.

The programme offers a unique interdisciplinary curriculum that takes you out of the classroom and into the field:

  1. Expert Workshops: Access cutting-edge laboratory equipment at the InnoRenew CoE.
  2. Field Visits: Meet sheep breeders and visit traditional processing workshops in collaboration with the Interreg Woolshed project.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Map the entire wool ecosystem to identify bottlenecks and innovation opportunities.

Key Dates:

  • Physical Component (In-Person): June 29 – July 3, 2026.

Apply for the T4EU Summer Course in Alicante!

Applications are now open for the T4EU Summer Course Generative models and creative and artistic industries, which will take place in Alicante (Spain) from 15 to 17 September 2026, hosted by the University of Alicante.

The workshop will bridge Artificial Intelligence (AI), Computer Science, and Fine Arts/Design. Participants will delve into the technical and creative applications of Generative Models for producing high-quality imagery, video content, and 3D assets. Furthermore, the agenda will cover the physical implementation of these digital designs through 3D Printing technology. Beyond creation, the event will address critical theoretical frameworks, including AI Ethics, Security Protocols, Intellectual Property law, and Privacy issues within creative industries.


Three UniTS students will be selected from those in the Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD programmes.
